Our Vision
South Central Solar is committed to building a sustainable, low-carbon emission energy future for Saskatchewan, aligning with the goals of CanREA's Vision 2050. Our focus is on the production of renewable energy, active engagement with local communities, and ensuring equitable growth for all stakeholders.
Project Overview
Our current project includes the development of a 200 MW solar farm in South-Central Saskatchewan, targeted for completion by 2027. We prioritize majority equity stakes owned in Indigenous partnership ownership. We are securing long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with SaskPower for 25–30 year terms.
Environmental Commitment & Benefits
We are dedicated to full compliance with all regulatory and environmental obligations. Our projects emphasize responsible land use on solar-suitable properties, biodiversity protection, and comprehensive reclamation planning. The benefits of our solar projects include clean power for over 10,000 homes, a >50% CO₂ reduction from the 2005 level by 2030, significant employment creation, and stimulation of local economic development in Saskatchewan.
